Only the fit survive: Gym Bag MUSTS

I always running around like a chicken in the morning trying to pack a bag so I finally made a list of items that you can put in your gym bag to make sure you are ready for anything and anytime.

  • Plastic Bags - You can put your smelly gym shoes or your sweat-soaked clothes in this to keep everything in the bag from reeking.
  • Underwear - Keep a fresh pair of drawers in there because if you sweat like I do, you want to peel those off and put on a dry pair!
  • Sports Bra - I can not and will not run in a regular bra, it is so uncomfortable and my bras are Victoria Secret. I am not sweating that thing up!
  • Gym Clothes - Well, what else you going to work out in?
  • Gym Shoes - Unless you plan on hiking those stairs in pumps?
  • Soap - Either in a container or the liquid kind. Make it easier on yourself and buy the 3-in-one soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
  • Shampoo and Conditioner - Dollar stores sell the little travel containers and travel sizes that way you are not lugging around a whole bottle. 
  • Baby Wipes/Makeup Remover - In case you can’t shower and still need to freshen up, or you just need to get rid of the makeup. 
  • Chapstick/Sun Protectant - If you are running outside, whether it is windy or sunny… wear chapstick/sun screen for which ever occasion. 
  • Headphones - I hate having to walk back out to my car to grab them….
  • Socks - New fresh pair for your feets!
  • Flip Flops - A regular pair, nothing fancy. Just so you don’t slip in the shower and to prevent from other’s cooties!
  • Blow Dryer - Give yourself that Pauly D blow out. 
  • Towel - Whether you are swimming, showering, or sweating, this is going to be handy.
  • Bathing Suit - I hate when I forget my suit and I have a sudden urge to take a dip or relax in the hot tub. 
  • Pads/Tampons - Self explanatory.
  • Snack - After workout snack. Fruit, bar, protein shake, whatever! Something to replenish your nutrients.
  • Shaker - If you are using supplements or taking protein, don’t forget your cup/shaker.
  • Water - WELL, DUH.
  • Supplements - If you take BCAA, fat burners, vitamins, pre-workouts, whatever.
  • Deodorant - I forget this like everyday. 
  • Gym Membership Card - So you aren’t digging through your purse for it.
  • Pen/Workout Planner - Make sure to record your efforts so you can track some progress.
  • Lock - Don’t trust to just leave your stuff in an open locker. You never know.
  • Gloves - Some people prefer lifting gloves.
  • Hand Sanitizer - Get rid of the gym germs!
  • Ibuprofen - Just incase of a headache, knee ache, etc.
  • Face Wash - Get rid of the grit and grime off your sweaty face.
  • Make Up - If you are going straight to work or school after your work out, it is time to get glammed up!
  • Loofa - To help exfoliate. 
  • Toothbrush/Toothpaste - Self explanatory.
  • Razor/Tweezers - Too clean yourself up and get ready for work if you are a morning gym go-er.
  • Lotion - Moisturize your skin.
  • Spandex - I have left the gym from my legs rubbing together so bad because I forgot spandex!
  • Hair Tie/Head Bands - To keep your hair out of your face and in case one breaks!
  • Pepper Spray - People get attacked and abducted from parking lots all the time! Be careful and park in well lit areas. You can never be over prepared!
