I use Coconut Oil for everything, I mean everything.
Hair - Brush through my hair in the shower, without shampoo or conditioner, when I get out I rub a few fingers full of coconut oil through my hair. When my hair gets dry, I braid my hair with some coconut oil and let it sit all night. The coconut oil defines my curls, gives my hair that shiny shampoo commercial look and keeps it from becoming a frizzy fro in the humidity. It works wonders for all hair type and ethnicities.
Face - Hello, Coconut Oil in a natural anti-bacterial. So long as you don’t use too much (you want the skin to feel soft not slippery) it will keep breakouts aways whilst naturally balancing skin tone. I use it day and night in cold climates and just at night in warm ones.
Body - If its good for the face, its great for the body. Again with the climate thing.
Nails - Am I the only one whose nails/skin around the nails get super dry?! Well this is my cure.
Cooking - I only cheat on Coconut Oil when I make Italian Food, cause Italian without olive oil is simply unacceptable. The oil balances blood sugar and actually stimulates the hormone that burns body fat.
Some people like the beautiful Miranda Kerr like to add a tbs to their smoothies, I for one would rather cook with it but the smoothie thing is a great option. Especially if you’re getting sick.
As with anything you put on your skin on in your body its best to by organic, raw or unrefined. This bottle cost $12.99 from Whole Foods. It will likely last me 2-3 months and I save a ton of money because I don’t have to buy multiple products.

true stuff! i do the same:)

Liquid Gel Advil, Zit Zapper

Adapted from: MacGyver Beauty

Break open that Liquid Advil to zap a ZIT! Aspirin has long been known as an in-a-pinch zit zapper—but technology has created pimple-fighter 2.0 thanks to liquid gel formulas. “I hear makeup artists use this all the time on models backstage at fashion shows,” says beauty guru Robin Coe-Hutshing. “Open up an Advil gel cap and apply it right onto the pimple. It takes the swelling down right away.”

Daily Detoxing Tips

Adapted from: Whole Living

Water with Lemon

Sipping room-temperature water with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice first thing in the morning stimulates digestion and helps to flush toxins.

Regular Exercise

Any type of fitness plan that gets your heart rate up and creates a sheen of sweat helps your body to rid itself of anything it doesn’t need. 30 minutes a day, at least.

A Cleansing Soak

Once a week for 20 minutes, sit in a hot bath that contains a handful of Epsom salts, 10 drops of lavender essential oil, and half a cup of baking soda. This combo draws out toxins, lowers stress-related hormones, and balances pH levels.

Go Hot and Cold

Finish your morning shower by alternating between water temperatures as hot and cold as you can stand. The technique increases circulation, which in turn flushes the lymphatic system.

Super Silky Summer Legs
Next time you are feeling down, about to binge, going on a date, or just need to pamper yourself, do this. I just did it and I can not stop rubbing my legs together. It feels like I paid for that over expensive pedicure at the salon.
Ingredients
1 1/4 C Sugar (Yup, plain, good-ol’ white sugar)
1/2 C Oil (I used olive oil, but you can use any oil, coconut oil, baby oil, canola oil)
3 tablespoons Citrus (Lime or lemon)
1-2 Razors
Mix everything together in a bowl.
Soak your legs in the tub for 5 minutes.
Shave your legs.
Rub some of this mixture all over your legs. The sugar will help rub off all dirt and dead skin. Rub, rub. Feels like a mini massage.
Rinse it all off, shave again. I would use one razor per leg if you have two. You will be rinsing this razor a lot. I was GROSSED out by the amount of dead skin I was “shaving” off. It was insane! Trust me, you’ll see.
Rub your legs again! Second coat of wax, oh yeah.
Rinse off! You can use a mild soap to help get some of the oil off.
Lotion your legs up, and feel the silkiness!
Now this isn’t just geared to ladies…. guys, if you want to get lucky, I suggest you offer to rub your ladies’ feet with this mix too. It feels awesome, and when you get lucky, you will be thanking me that her rough grandma feet aren’t cutting your legs, if ya know what I’m saying… hahaha.
I have silky arm pits too!!
Try it, I swear, You will want everyone to touch your legs.

After Workout Beauty Tips

From BeHealthyBeFit’s answered question.

What I like to do:
1. Get roots of hair a little damp in the sink.
2. Pat dry with towel/washcloth/papertowels.
3. Blowdry w/ gym blowdryers
4. Apply dry shampoo, wait, brush out.
5. BRING A HEADBAND! And put that in to cover the majority of the greasyness in your hair.
6. Put hair into a cute messy bun or ponytail.
7. For makeup you always want something to wash your face after the gym - babywipes, face cleansing pads, or just a facewash.
8. Apply an oil control moisturiser and apply makeup (don’t go overboard, just foundation, blush/bronzer, mascara, chapstick.)

and you want it to be just about the music and not your weight… yet you lost a fuck load of weight since becoming famous.. nice try adele, looks like you fell victim to society. Too bad girls can’t have one role model that doesn’t feel like they need to lose weight in order to be successful.

whoa. we should NOT be shaming her for losing weight. who knows the reasons behind why she did it? maybe it was for her career OR maybe she did it for herself - there is absolutely no way for us to know. it’s her body & has nothing to do with her music, so let’s appreciate (or dislike) her for what she puts out there & not what she does with her body.

plenty of people here on tumblr are trying to lose weight, but it doesn’t mean they “fell victim to society”. it just means that they are trying to change something about their body and hopefully moving towards health.

THE CLEAN BEAUTY BLOG: REVIEW: Two Lip Saviours

thecleanbeautyblog:

As the weather cools down, so does skin’s moisture levels, and my lips are always the first to feel it. After a week of suffering red, chapped lips, I finally rummaged through my bathroom drawer to find a lip balm by 1Skin Solution and a Shizen Lip Hydrating Serum. I used the lip balm by day, which delivered instant hydration and left lips glossy & plump (with a delicious vanilla scent!), and at night I covered lips with a drop of the serum (a little goes a long way!) - which deeply nourished my lips and left them soft, smooth & soothed. Made with a lovely blend of sweet orange, lime & lemon myrtle essential oils, I’ve even popped a few drops of the serum into a bowl of hot water to steam my face! Needless to say, this duo will be my lip saviours this winter: with the lip balm in my handbag and the serum on by bedside table, I will be one happy unchappy chap.
